1st Annual No-Manniversary (Fredericksburg, TX)

Kyle and I have a great group of friends that we have known since college. This group is SO FUN, and are always doing exciting and interesting things together. Every year, the "men" of this group go on a big 3-4 day camping trip which they have named "MANNIVERSARY!" At first, us women thought it was really silly and in fact made fun of their little group trip name. I mean....this is one of the most important weekends of the year to these guys. They go the same weekend every year (weekend before Thanksgiving.) They have spread sheets to calculate cost. They make t-shirts. For crying out loud, they even had a Man-Cathalon (competition of "man" activities.) It is pretty funny!

Like I say, we used to make fun of it. Then- we ("the girls") decided it was about time we had some fun also. You see.....more members of the group are starting to have babies. So- in the past we were just the ones left at home to take care of the children by ourselves all weekend. But, not anymore. We have decided it is time for the Mommas and Wifes to have a break, a trip, a get away!!! So that is exactly what we did. This year, the girls decided it was time we had our 1st Annual NO-Manniversary! :)

This past weekend we packed it up and headed to Fredericksburg, TX for some relaxation, shopping, and wine drinking. We left on Fri morning and stopped in Waco. We stopped at Georges Bar (you may have heard of it once or twice through a few country songs by Pat Green) ;) It was VERY yummy!!!! But, it was also very crowded. It took about 2 hours for us to have lunch (granted we were a group
of 9.) After lunch, we got back on the road and traveled to our destination.

The house we had for the weekend was INCREDIBLE!!!! Long front porch with rocking chairs (great for our morning coffee), white stone all through out the house, beautiful indoor fireplace, AWESOME outdoor fireplace, etc. Name it....this house had it! SO PRETTY!!!

We had a blast on our first annual trip. Yes- we had group shirts (which ended up rocking b/c that was about the only way we could keep up with each other while shopping.) Yes- we drank lots of wine (and whatever else was poured into our cups.) Yes- we shopped, A LOT!!!! Yes- we played hide and seek for 2 hours (you read that right......we straight up played a game called sardines in that house. SO MUCH FUN!!!! It was too good of a house not to do that.) Yes- we through one of the girls, Cari, a bachelorette lingerie shower while we were there! Yes- IT WAS A BLAST!!!! I am already looking forward to next year's adventure!
